Sister Crayon, Picture Atlantic, The Bridge (Tom, I don't care)

Hey people check out this band, called "Sister Crayon" (www.myspace.com/silentandclementine), that I saw at an extremely awesome and fun concert last night (it was my first indie concert) at The Jungle print shop and cafe in Palo Alto. They were playing along with Picture Atlantic (www.myspace.com/pictureatlantic), which is also an really great band (btw, they opened for coldplay once), and The Bridge (www.myspace.com/hitthebridge), a punk band, which is also really great. These are all local bands.

Here is Sister Crayon's EP that I bought from that show (and got it signed by all the members of the band):

Here is The Bridge's album, "The Bridge", that I got for free from that show.

There was an experimental-type rock band playing, called "Adventure Playground", but they don't have a myspace or website or anything, and I wasn't able to snab any merch.
I also saw the first frat boys I've ever seen in my life at that concert. Hope to go to another concert there again soon.

MOAR SHIT I LIKE

White Town

Passion Pit

MSTRKRFT feat. John Legend

Concerts

After much debate and discussion, I will not be able to go to Treasure Island Music Festival (MSTRKRFT, MGMT, Passion Pit, The Limousines, Murs, Girl Talk, Dan Deacon, Crown City Rockers, The Streets), because I need an adult to go with me and friend, and that adult wasn't about to pay $70 for her ticket (and her son's, whom is my friend).
I will also not be going to the Live 105 Spookfest (Crystal Method, Basement Jaxx, Diplo, Infected Mushroom, The Faint), because that is 16+.

I will, however, be seeing Picture Atlantic at The Jungle this Saturday (10/17) in Palo Alto ($5, all ages),
and the Fuck Buttons at the Bottom Of The Hill on Friday, November 13th (11/13) in San Francico ($10, all ages).

Both of the shows that I'm actually seeing should be a lot of fun. They will be indie bands at a small, local, club and a print shop. And they're really cheap.

8-Bit Random Electric Drum Demo

Here's a drum demo I did using the samples from Aleksi Eeben's Electric Drum in GarageBand. Just dragged the .wav files to the sampling keyboard. This is a pretty random drum line, and I was pretty much just fooling around. Probably should've used my ION iED04 Digital Drum Station that I have sitting right in front of me here instead of my computer keyboard. Oh well. This shouldn't be taken too seriously, though some parts of it are pretty good:

Music By Friends

An anti-folk/punk cover of "Muhammad Was A Punk Rocker", by my cousin, Imran Hafiz. Original by Michael Muhammad Knight.

Raps I like

All of this stuff is not new to me, I've been listening to some of it for the past month or so. I have started (at least for now) using correct capitalization and (mostly) correct spelling.
